Disabled Sports (Sport)

DADDS provides sporting opportunites for those people who are unable to take advantage of the normal activities that most of us are able to take for granted.
The Leisure Centre, Court Drive, is the venue on Tuesday afternoons from 1-3pm when we offer disabled people the opportunity of sport, exercise and socialising with others of similar circumstances.
The sessions are supervised by a loyal band of volunteers that allow the charity to provide an ongoing service to their clients every week of the year (for the past 14 years), with few exceptions.
We are constantly seeking volunteers to help us provide the service which increases in attendance numbers on a regular basis; we regularly have about 100 people attending each week. To ensure this service, which is supported by various groups in the local community to whom we are most grateful, fresh blood is necessary.

DAVID’S CHRISTMAS MARKET, Eastcheap, Letchworth

David’s Book and Music shop will kick start the Christmas season with its first ever Christmas Market. Talented and inspirational local artists and craftsmen will be offering their unique works including handcrafted jewellery, embroidered diaries, fingerless gloves, sculpture, printing and paintings, hand-made individual bags.
A touch of warmth and cheer will come from locally-sourced gourmet food, as well as wine and beer from the Food Barn in Willian. The festive atmosphere will ring throughout the market with live entertainment from local schools.
Admission is free and shoppers are encouraged to come along and sample what’s on offer. In fact if they buy for any stallholders, they can claim 20% off anything for David’s Book and Music Shops.
